Our whole bean coffee comes in three different roasts … Medium (our favorite), Café (a multi-colored blend of medium, medium/dark, and dark roasts), and Dark (great for espresso).

The label on the front of our bag is a painting by local Hawaiian artist, Kathy Long, of the entrance to our farm. We are located on the slopes of Mauna Kea at an elevation of 2,500 to 2,800 feet on the lush Hamakua Coast of the Big Island above the town of Honoka’a. The cold air coming down from the mountain flows right through our farm and gives us very cool nights. This results in an extended amount of time that it takes for the coffee cherries to ripen and enhances the body and flavor of the roasted coffee. In addition, our soil is different from that on the leeward, drier Kona side of the Big Island. Mauna Kea is about 1 million years old and last erupted 4,500 years ago. Its soil has developed a rich, fertile quality. Thus, much like a fine wine, our coffee has an exceptional taste due to its particular climate and soil. Our coffee is soft and smooth with a robust and balanced finish ... “Paradise in a Cup!”

The price is $22.50 for half a pound and $45 for one pound (whole bean only, please be sure to specify roast) plus delivery by USPS Priority Mail as follows:

    Amazing For French Press!!!

Posted by Donald Wanamaker on 6th Jul 2012

I 1st tried this coffee at Merriman's In Waiamea. Out of all the varieties of coffee we tried at Merriman's that evening, this was our #1 favorite. From time to time, I have ordered this coffee and had it shipped to San Francisco, where we live. I only use it for French Press.

    My favorite Hawaiian coffee

Posted by John C. (NJ--but wishing he was on the Honokaa coast right now...) on 8th May 2012

I was first introduced to Cloud Forest Coffee at one of the farm stand markets in Waimea. The farmer guaranteed that this would be the best coffee I would find on the island and she was right! I have tried most of the coffees on the island from the large brands to the smaller farmers who sell only at the markets, and this is my favorite of all! I would rank this up there with coffee that costs twice as much (or more). My family and co-workers all look forward to the holidays when they find familiar shaped wrapped gifts... I cannot recommend this coffee enough! My personal choice is the medium roast, just edging out the cafe roast.
