Our whole bean coffee comes in three different roasts … Medium (our favorite), Café (a multi-colored blend of medium, medium/dark, and dark roasts), and Dark (great for espresso).

The label on the front of our bag is a painting by local Hawaiian artist, Kathy Long, of the entrance to our farm. We are located on the slopes of Mauna Kea at an elevation of 2,500 to 2,800 feet on the lush Hamakua Coast of the Big Island above the town of Honoka’a. The cold air coming down from the mountain flows right through our farm and gives us very cool nights. This results in an extended amount of time that it takes for the coffee cherries to ripen and enhances the body and flavor of the roasted coffee. In addition, our soil is different from that on the leeward, drier Kona side of the Big Island. Mauna Kea is about 1 million years old and last erupted 4,500 years ago. Its soil has developed a rich, fertile quality. Thus, much like a fine wine, our coffee has an exceptional taste due to its particular climate and soil. Our coffee is soft and smooth with a robust and balanced finish ... “Paradise in a Cup!”

The price is $22.50 for half a pound and $45 for one pound (whole bean only, please be sure to specify roast) plus delivery by USPS Priority Mail as follows:

Can't Go Back to the other Coffee!

Posted by Unknown on 18th Oct 2017

Visited the Big Island in 2010. Stopped at a road side stand for a cup of coffee. Best coffee ever. My husband won't drink the other brands - just pure organic Hawaiian Cloud Forest since 2010!

    None Better

I agree with Mike below. You will not be sorry. This is the best coffee I have ever experienced. Visited Hilo on the big island and took a drive west. Picked up a bag of whole beans in Cafe Pesto in Kawaihae and have never looked back, except to buy more! It has a rich yet smooth taste, and is not bitter. I am a customer for life! I also like the way the beans are grown in an environmentally friendly way.

Love this coffee. Even ground some up and took with me on my safari because most coffees in Africa are just ok or you are forced to drink Nescafé !! Drinking CloudForest now!

    Best Coffee from Hawaii (IMHO)

Posted by mike on 30th Jun 2017

This is one of the best coffees available, from a non-traditional area of the Big Island of Hawaii. Sincerely produced by Mr Gunther and his extended family with much aloha. Give it a try and you will not be sorry.

The only downside to this coffee is that once you've had it you can't go back.....beware.

    Fantastic Coffee

Posted by Mark Rayo on 4th May 2017

I had the pleasure of ordering Hawaiian Cloud Forest coffee while dining at Merrimans. It only took one sip for me to immediately inquire from our waiter as to where I can purchase it. The coffee has a unique full bodied flavor that is smooth with absolutely no bitterness. I'm hooked!!

    Incredible Coffee From Genuine People

Posted by Ethan Havener on 24th Apr 2017

I had the wonderful opportunity to take a tour of the Cloud Forest farm and facilities. Eric Gunther, (the owner), was extremely kind and amiable, and took 2 hours out of his day to walk my friend and me around and explain the whole coffee making process from start to finish.

Then there is the coffee. The coffee is well bodied and bursting with a delightful flavor and mouthwatering aroma. It is also exceedingly smooth, with not even a hint of bitterness. It is a coffee that is worth every cent, especially as it grown in almost the same soil, elements, and altitude as Kona coffee without having the exorbitant price. It is a quality worth coming back for again and again.

    Hamakua's Best

Posted by G. Slider Samii on 12th Apr 2017

I have tried a few coffees from the Hamakua region with the expectation of a richer and more robust coffee than what I have had from the Kona region. I really enjoy coffee from Jamaica Blue Mountains and from the highlands of Papua New Guinea with their rich creamy bold flavors. Now I can say that the Island of Hawai'i and the Gunther's have "nested" me into another wonderful treat with their Hawaiian Cloud Forest Medium Roast. There is a wonderfully soft and delightful experience to be had each day enjoying a cup of this coffee and I look forward to trying the other roasts they have available. A very remarkable coffee to be sure!
