Our whole bean coffee comes in three different roasts … Medium (our favorite), Café (a multi-colored blend of medium, medium/dark, and dark roasts), and Dark (great for espresso).

The label on the front of our bag is a painting by local Hawaiian artist, Kathy Long, of the entrance to our farm. We are located on the slopes of Mauna Kea at an elevation of 2,500 to 2,800 feet on the lush Hamakua Coast of the Big Island above the town of Honoka’a. The cold air coming down from the mountain flows right through our farm and gives us very cool nights. This results in an extended amount of time that it takes for the coffee cherries to ripen and enhances the body and flavor of the roasted coffee. In addition, our soil is different from that on the leeward, drier Kona side of the Big Island. Mauna Kea is about 1 million years old and last erupted 4,500 years ago. Its soil has developed a rich, fertile quality. Thus, much like a fine wine, our coffee has an exceptional taste due to its particular climate and soil. Our coffee is soft and smooth with a robust and balanced finish ... “Paradise in a Cup!”

The price is $22.50 for half a pound and $45 for one pound (whole bean only, please be sure to specify roast) plus delivery by USPS Priority Mail as follows:

Best Coffee I Have Ever Had

Posted by Grey Hodges on 17th May 2015

Had this coffee at Merriman's in Waimea and immediately went home and ordered it. This is the best I've ever had, and I'm something of a coffee snob. Low acidity, full robust mouth with chocolate over tones. I have switched from Greenwells Kona, Jamacian Blue Mt and Ethiopian Sidamo to this. This will become my Christmas gift to my family members.

This is the best coffee I have ever tasted. We have had it shipped to us in Rhode Island after seeing it at Merrimans. No other coffee comes close

    Great Hamakua Coffee!

Posted by Billy on 7th Apr 2015

This coffee is different from what I buy in California so it's a nice change. I heard about it while I was in Hawaii.

It's slightly nutty and earthy. Good quality.

    A Little Bit of Heaven

Posted by PH on 4th Feb 2015

I was looking on the internet for some good Kona coffee and somehow your ad popped up and something told me I had to try this coffee. Well, I think I died and went to heaven after one delicious sip. This coffee is wonderful. I ordered the cafe blend but I am going to try the dark next time. Good-bye Kona coffee, you have been knocked down a notch of two.

The BEST Hawaiian coffee (and it isn't from Kona)

Posted by Bernie and Kathleen Torbik on 3rd Dec 2014

This review is of Hawaiian Cloud Forest Coffee in Honoka'a, HI. There are no food or beverage facilities at the site, but the coffee is served in Merriman's Restaurant in nearby Waimea, HI. I have no interest in it other than as a very satisfied customer who appreciates good coffee.

When one thinks of Hawaiian coffee, the first - and often only - place that comes to mind is Kona, where there are some very good coffee growers. But coffee is actually grown on all of the major islands, and Hawaii Island actually has 3 distinct coffee regions: Kona, on the southwest side of Hawaii; Ka'u, on the southeast side of the island; and Hamakua on the northeast side of the island.

I have personally seen the land and facility where The coffee is grown and processed. It should be on every ones list as a must see. If you can't make it then atleast try this coffee Im pretty sure you will be hooked. Oh and really nice folks there.
