Our whole bean coffee comes in three different roasts … Medium (our favorite), Café (a multi-colored blend of medium, medium/dark, and dark roasts), and Dark (great for espresso).

The label on the front of our bag is a painting by local Hawaiian artist, Kathy Long, of the entrance to our farm. We are located on the slopes of Mauna Kea at an elevation of 2,500 to 2,800 feet on the lush Hamakua Coast of the Big Island above the town of Honoka’a. The cold air coming down from the mountain flows right through our farm and gives us very cool nights. This results in an extended amount of time that it takes for the coffee cherries to ripen and enhances the body and flavor of the roasted coffee. In addition, our soil is different from that on the leeward, drier Kona side of the Big Island. Mauna Kea is about 1 million years old and last erupted 4,500 years ago. Its soil has developed a rich, fertile quality. Thus, much like a fine wine, our coffee has an exceptional taste due to its particular climate and soil. Our coffee is soft and smooth with a robust and balanced finish ... “Paradise in a Cup!”

The price is $22.50 for half a pound and $45 for one pound (whole bean only, please be sure to specify roast) plus delivery by USPS Priority Mail as follows:

    Christmas Stocking Stuffer

Posted by Mary on 7th Nov 2014

I order the dark roast whole beans for my son-in-law as a Christmas present each year. I don't drink coffee, but he does! He first had this coffee when we were in Hawaii and really enjoys it.

    Really great coffee

Posted by Elaine on 4th Sep 2014

My brother Paul from Waikoloa sent me a pound of your beans. He knows how much I love my coffee. Here in San Francisco I tend to drink two brands and I have them in my morning and afternoon latte's and occasionally an americano or a drip. Paul and his wife always send me a bit of Kona coffee every year for some occasion and I also have my favorite coffee house blends when I go into Kona. Yours is hands down the best! Seriously, hats off to you. I find it rich and complex without being bitter. Really great coffee-congratulations!

    The Best Hawaiian Coffee?

Beautifully balanced, assertive and nuanced at the same time. A wonderful morning cup and not bland as many Kona coffees often are. Enjoy!!

    The best ever coffee

Posted by claudiab on 6th May 2014

We live in a coffee town, there is great coffee uptown and downtown. We buy seek out good coffee and make it at home with care. But no coffee in New York City comes anywhere near the quality of the Could Forest coffee. The Cloud Forest coffee had deep, rich, resonant flavor with a chocolatey texture. It is truly delicious.

    Terrific

I have tried two different roasts of the 3 that are available; Café and Dark. I am very impressed with the overall balance and smoothness as well as complexity. The coffee is in harmony and this is what separates great coffee from the many which are mediocre.

    Best Coffee We've Ever Had

Posted by Unknown on 23rd Jul 2013

My fiancee and I both love the cloud forest coffee. The first time I made her a cup she said it was the best coffee she'd ever had. I realized the same is true for me. When I ran out a couple of weeks ago, we couldn't believe how disappointed we were to have to have to drink supposedly premium coffee from a chain. Cloud forest coffee doesn't buy into the common notion that coffee needs to be harsh to have flavor. It is strong and flavorful but also smooth. Much more sophisticated than those normal, crude premium coffees with their acridity.
